AI-Native Product Engineer
Date: Jun 18, 2026
Location: LT Vilnius, LT
Company: valantic GmbH
About the role
We are looking for an AI-Native Product Engineer to join a new internal product initiative inside valantic. The project is connected to Skill Factory, an internal platform idea focused on one practical question: How can we turn repeatable consulting work into reusable AI-supported workflows?
In consulting, many tasks are repeated again and again: research, analysis, structuring information, preparing first drafts, checking outputs, creating reports, and turning messy input into something useful. Today, much of this still depends on individual effort, personal templates, and manual work.
Skill Factory aims to change that. The goal is to capture reusable patterns of work and turn them into practical AI workflows that consultants and teams can run, test, improve, and reuse.
This is not AI hype. It is product engineering applied to real consulting work.
You will work in an international setup together with Lithuanian engineering colleagues and German business stakeholders. That means the role requires not only coding, but also clear communication, structured updates, and the ability to understand the business purpose behind the feature.
What you will work on
You will help build and improve the product layer around reusable AI workflows.
The current stack is mainly Node.js / Express on the backend and React on the frontend. The role is not algorithm-heavy, but it does require good engineering judgment, critical testing, and the ability to move through unclear problems.
Typical work may include:
- building backend features with Node.js / Express
- building frontend features with React
- connecting APIs and internal services
- improving existing workflows and user flows
- working with AI-assisted development tools
- using Claude Code for implementation, debugging, refactoring, testing, and documentation
- reviewing generated code critically before shipping it
- debugging and improving existing code
- helping turn rough business or consulting ideas into working product features
- discussing requirements with Lithuanian and German colleagues
- translating unclear input into small, testable implementation steps
- documenting technical decisions, learnings, and limitations
What we are looking for
This role is less about title and more about working style.
We value people who:
- are goal-oriented
- test before they claim something works
- can work with ambiguity
- learn quickly from failed attempts
- improve the product, not only the code
- communicate blockers early
- document useful findings
- understand that international work requires clarity and follow-through
- are interested in how AI changes real software delivery
What you can expect
- Flexible working hours and remote-friendly setup
- Benefits package including 25 vacation days, health insurance, MELP rewards, team events, and workations
- Salary range: €4,000 to €6,600 gross / month
