As part of the iTrader/IMM team, you will be responsible for providing customer support for our applications in the electronic trading sector. Within valantic’s “Financial Services Automation” division, you will be entrusted with providing customer support for our applications in the electronic trading sector. In the exciting world of electronic trading in stocks, currencies, cryptocurrencies, and many other assets, we offer our clients (banks, brokers, fintechs) customized system solutions and platforms.
As a Support Engineer (all genders), you will be responsible for second-level support as part of a highly collaborative, dynamic team based in Frankfurt. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Recording, analyzing, and reproducing customer inquiries and issues after they have been initially logged by the help desk
- Troubleshooting, including remote analysis of customer systems
- Infrastructure management is part of your responsibilities. You will be increasingly involved in ASP operations and will work closely with the operations team
- Communication and coordination between customers, development, and test teams
- Solution-oriented communication with customers, as well as monitoring open customer inquiries and tickets
- Installing the product and updates on customer systems, as well as providing support for projects and Professional Services
- Conducting internal and external training as needed
What distinguishes you
MUST HAVE:
- IT Specialist in System Integration or comparable professional experience in the IT field; a degree in a scientific discipline; career changers and entry-level candidates are also welcome
- Good to very good knowledge of operating systems (typically Linux and Windows) as well as common standard software
- Knowledge of Git and/or Ansible
- Fluency in German and good written and spoken English
- Independent, structured, and meticulous work style; solution-oriented with excellent communication skills
- A strong team spirit, as well as creativity and tenacity in problem-solving
- Eagerness to learn, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure
- Database knowledge
NICE TO HAVE:
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routers, firewalls)
- Enjoyment of providing technical support
- Experience with software in the banking sector
- A passion for learning, flexibility, and the ability to thrive under pressure
- Basic programming skills (e.g., bash, Python, or C++)
