As a Business Analyst/Product Architect – Payments (all genders), you play a key role in shaping and evolving our payment solutions. You act as the bridge between market requirements, customer needs, and technical implementation, ensuring that our products remain innovative, scalable, and aligned with industry standards.

Your responsibilities include:

• Driving the functional and strategic evolution of valantic payment products
• Defining product architecture, solution concepts, and target operating models for payment processing environments
• Translating business requirements into scalable product and solution designs
• Advising customers on payment architectures, messaging standards, and integration scenarios
• Collaborating closely with Product Management, Development, QA, Project Management, and Support teams
• Conducting workshops, solution design sessions, and stakeholder presentations
• Analyzing customer requirements and developing implementation and integration concepts
• Creating functional specifications, solution blueprints, and architecture documentation
• Supporting pre-sales activities, including solution design and proposal preparation
• Guiding customers through the integration of our solutions into their payment and banking landscapes
• Monitoring market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging payment innovations to continuously enhance our product portfolio
• Acting as a trusted advisor for customers, partner banks, and internal stakeholders

What distinguishes you

• 5+ years of experience in payments, transaction banking, or financial messaging
• Strong knowledge of payment schemes (SEPA, SEPA Instant, SWIFT, TARGET, Direct Debits, R2P) and ISO 20022
• Experience in solution and product architecture design
• Understanding of global payment systems, card payments, clearing, settlement, and treasury processes
• Familiarity with SWIFT MT, payment hubs, APIs, middleware, cloud solutions, and migration projects
• Customer-facing consulting and solution design experience
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and parallel initiatives
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented team player
