The Cloud Services team at valantic develops and operates highly critical infrastructure for the global financial industry based on state-of-the-art cloud technologies. Our systems connect our customers to the world's largest stock exchanges with latencies of just a few milliseconds. Our solutions automate a wide range of processes in the financial world, from trading traditional securities to processing cryptocurrencies.
As a dedicated Cloud SysOps Engineer (all genders), you will be an important part of our team of SaaS and cloud specialists. Your focus will be on ensuring the stable and high-performance operation of our SaaS financial services solutions in the areas of networking, orchestration, and the entire infrastructure—in short, “run and maintain.”
- You will be responsible for analyzing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex technical issues in our hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- You will actively participate in the further development and optimization of our monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
- You will be involved in setting up and maintaining backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
- Our service is provided at various times. As part of the team, you will regularly take on weekly shifts to ensure the availability of our systems.
- You will create and maintain detailed knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides to improve self-service.
- You will help optimize resource utilization and cost control within the cloud environment.
What distinguishes you
MUST HAVE:
- You have training in system administration/integration or a degree in a comparable field and are currently working in this area.
- You have in-depth network expertise in TCP/IP, routing, and basic network security.
- You have already gained experience with relevant AWS services.
- You have very good knowledge of Windows Server and Linux as well as scripting (Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
- You are characterized by independent, proactive work and actively contribute to solving problems and improving processes.
- You are fluent in German and English.
NICE TO HAVE:
- You have a certification comparable to the AWS SysOps Administrator.
- You will have your first contact with HashiCorp products such as Nomad and Consul.
- You have knowledge of observability using industry-standard tools, such as NewRelic.
- You have experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible and CI/CD concepts.
- You are characterized by analytical thinking skills and experience in finding solutions.
