Head of Business Development (all genders) - Senior-level position

As Head of Business Development (all genders), you will work directly with the CEO of valantic FSA to drive shape and execute the company’s strategy. This is a high-impact, high-trust role focused on business development, value creation, and strategic execution.

• Strategy & Market Intelligence
  • Lead the continuous evolution of the company’s strategy and equity story
  • Develop and maintain market intelligence to track competitors, clients, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies
  • Translate insights into strategic opportunities and risks; drive data-driven recommendations to the executive team and board
• Business Development, Partnerships and Commercial Optimization
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic partnerships
  • Drive optimization of pricing and go-to-market models
  • Collaborate with product, sales, and finance teams to identify and execute commercial optimization opportunities
• Strategic Program Execution, Governance and Legal Entity Oversight
  • Coordinate and monitor the execution of key strategic initiatives across functions and geographies
  • Establish governance, KPIs, and reporting frameworks
  • Support the CEO, CFO, and General Counsel in the governance of legal entities
• Leadership and development of high-performing teams
  • Build and coach a high-performing, growth-oriented team
  • Foster teamwide ownership, performance, and continuous development within the team 

What distinguishes you

• An academic degree in natural sciences, economics or business administration
• At least 6 years of professional experience
• At least 3 years in a management consulting firm
• Established expertise in execution and team leadership (2+ years of disciplinary responsibility) in a fintech or a firm with exposure to financial technology
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical and structured problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence
• Fluent in both German and English
• High level of ownership, integrity, and entrepreneurial mindset
• Ability to handle complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
