Effective Field

The Head of QA & Test Office (all genders) is responsible for establishing and governing the end-to-end quality assurance framework across all products and platforms within the firm. 
This role ensures that testing practices, test environments, data, and tooling in place ensure the reliability, performance, and compliance requirements of our products and solutions.
The Head of QA & Test Office (all genders) will drive test automation, embed quality-by-design principles, and enable engineering and product teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready software at scale. 

Quality & Testing Strategy

• Define and own the enterprise QA strategy, covering functional, non-functional, regression, performance, and security testing
• Establish quality KPIs, testing standards, and governance frameworks across all teams
• Ensure test practices comply with relevant regulatory and audit requirements (e.g., PSD2, ISO 27001, MiFID)

Automation & Tooling

• Drive the adoption of modern test automation frameworks across systems
• Build a highly automated regression suite enabling fast, reliable releases
• Establish and manage QA tooling, frameworks, and test infrastructure

Test Environments & Test Data

• Oversee the management and provisioning of test environments, including data refresh cycles, masking, and test data generation
• Ensure that test data management complies with data protection standards (e.g., GDPR)
• Reduce environment friction and improve test stability and repeatability

Execution Oversight & Governance

• Provide independent oversight on test planning, execution, coverage, and readiness gates
• Define release quality criteria and ensure consistent release readiness assessment across product groups
• Monitor and report quality metrics, defect trends, and quality risks

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, CISO/Risk to embed quality from ideation through production
• Coach and develop test leads and test automation engineers
• Foster a culture of quality ownership, continuous improvement, and risk-aware delivery

What distinguishes you

• 10+ years in QA, test engineering, or software quality leadership in FinTech or other highly regulated environments
• Deep expertise in test automation, test strategy, and enterprise QA frameworks
• Experience with complex, high-availability systems such as trading platforms, payment rails, and real-time data pipelines
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and secure SDLC practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
