Effective Field

Do you want to be close to the financial markets—with real customer contact rather than internal day-to-day operations? As a Junior Business Analyst on the Business Support Pre- and Post-Trading Managed Services team, you’ll serve as the central point of contact between our clients in the financial sector and their business-critical trading systems. You’ll work directly with clients, contribute ideas, analyze problems, and develop solutions—not just anonymous ticket support, but real responsibility and a visible impact.

  • You will independently manage our clients’ trading systems in the pre- and post-trading areas and ensure stable, smooth operations
  • You will be in direct contact with traders, functional departments, and quantitative teams on the client side—serving as the first point of contact for questions, issues, and opportunities for optimization
  • You analyze errors, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions and workarounds
  • You assist with testing, maintenance, and the continuous improvement of the systems
  • You contribute your own ideas to continuously improve the configuration, usability, and performance of the systems
  • You work in an agile team and actively contribute to its working methods and further development

What distinguishes you

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, technology, or engineering
  • Initial project experience as a team member, ideally in an agile work environment
  • Interest in financial markets and financial products
  • Good German language skills (at least B2) and very good English language skills (at least C1)
  • Residence in Frankfurt am Main or within a maximum of 1 hour’s commute—or willingness to relocate
  • Quick learner and motivated to quickly familiarize yourself with new subject matter and technical topics
  • Basic knowledge of SQL/databases and Linux fundamentals is a plus
  • Experience with Java, Jira/Confluence, or similar tools is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of trading systems such as Calypso, Murex, or similar is a plus

What you can expect

  • Direct customer contact and responsibility from the start—rather than just supporting others
  • Structured onboarding and ongoing professional development in the financial markets
  • Hybrid work model with remote work options for a good balance between team collaboration in Frankfurt and flexibility
  • An agile, collaborative team with short decision-making paths
  • Opportunities to contribute your own ideas and actively help shape systems
  • Deutschlandticket, mobile work, training budget, wellness programs, JobRad, company pension plan, etc.
