Product Owner Payments (all genders)

• Defining the product roadmap for the valantic payment application product line (payment processing, payment determination, bank-to-bank commission management and maintaining the product backlog

• Ensuring the development of new features and regulatory/compliance updates and maintenance activities

• Liaise with clients and the wider market (regulators, industry associations, infrastructure providers etc.) to understand the strategic drivers in the payments markets and translate these into value propositions for the business.

• Ensure compliance with current and future regulatory and industry standards

• Assist in the development of client propositions for sales initiatives

• Work with customers to understand the issues related to the product and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

• Define and support go-to-market initiatives related to the valantic payment product suite

• Oversee budgets for product development and maintenance

What distinguishes you

• At least 5+ years of product management experience in payment processing either in a FinTech or in a bank

• Understanding of the payments landscape, including the roles of its participants, current trends, challenges and opportunities

• Experience with payment systems such as SEPA, Target 2, ISO20022, SWIFT or others such as ISO8583

• Understanding of payment gateways, APIs and security protocols as well as software development processes, especially Agile/Scrum

• Advanced problem solving skills and strategic thinking, with a strong interest in business and product strategies and business processes

• Strong communication and coordination skills to collaborate with team members in different locations and regions

• Fluency in English required, knowledge of German is an advantage

• Bachelor's/Master's degree
