Effective Field
- As a Senior M365 Engineer (all genders), you are the subject-matter expert for Microsoft 365 collaboration and intelligent work across valantic’s European multi-tenant environment.
- Design, implement, and improve SharePoint Online (intranets, site structures, metadata, document management) in line with enterprise governance.
- Own and develop the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) including environments, policies, and ALM; voice/telephony remains out of scope.
- Manage Microsoft Teams governance and policies for internal and external users, including meetings, external access, and collaboration controls.
- Drive adoption and technical enablement of Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio, including custom agents, connectors, and responsible AI governance with Purview.
- Support Purview governance across M365 (sensitivity labels, DLP, information barriers, oversharing remediation) in close alignment with security.
- Operate key Microsoft Entra ID configurations (conditional access, guest access, app registrations, external identities) underpinning the M365 platform.
- Translate business requirements into scalable M365 solutions and act as a trusted bridge between IT Platform Services, business stakeholders, and Microsoft.
- Contribute to migration and transformation programmes (e.g. tenant-to-tenant, SharePoint restructuring, legacy decommissioning) with minimal business disruption.
- Define and maintain standards, runbooks, and architecture patterns to enable the wider team.
- Monitor the Microsoft roadmap and derive actionable recommendations for the platform strategy.
What distinguishes you
- Have several years of hands-on experience as an M365 engineer or consultant in enterprise environments, with strong expertise in SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Copilot.
- Have a proven track record in architecting and delivering SharePoint-based solutions (modern intranets, document libraries, content types, Viva integrations, Power Pages).
- Proficient across the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio) including solution design, automation, and governance.
- Bring practical Microsoft Teams administration experience (policies, governance, meetings, analytics); Teams Phone / telephony experience is not required.
- Have hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot (configuration, declarative agents, usage analytics, data readiness via sensitivity labels and Purview controls).
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Purview for M365 (sensitivity labels, auto-labelling, DLP configuration, integration with Copilot for governed AI use).
- Understand Microsoft Entra ID fundamentals (conditional access, group-based licensing, B2B guests, cross-tenant settings) and can support identity governance with the security team.
- Hold at least one relevant Microsoft certification; multiple credentials across Power Platform, Teams, M365 administration or Purview/identity topics are a strong plus.
- Have solid scripting and automation skills (e.g. PowerShell, Graph API, PnP PowerShell) and are comfortable in multi-tenant Entra ID environments.
- Explain complex technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders and document solutions to enable smooth operations and knowledge transfer.
- Work in a self-directed and structured way and thrive in a distributed, international team.
- Value collaboration, platform quality, and security, and are motivated to create long-lasting value for the organisation and its users.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g. German, French or Italian) are a plus.
